The 15th Laugavegur Ultra Marathon will take place tomorrow. Registered runners are now 330, 81 female and 249 male runners. Icelandic participants are 267 and 63 from other countries. The international runners are from 18 different countries with most of them coming from Germany (13) and USA (9).

The race bus will leave from the ice skating rink in Laugardalur (Skautahöllin í Laugardal, Múlavegur 1, 104 Reykjavik) tomorrow at 4:30. Estimated arrival time at Landmannalaugar (the start point) is 8:00. The race starts at 9:00 and runners will be in three start groups.

The race record is 4:20:32 in the men’s category and 5:21:12 in the women’s category. It is therefore estimated that the first runners will arrive to Husadalur in Thorsmork around 13:30. First bus back to Reykjavik will leave at 18:00 from Thorsmork and will arrive to the ice skating rink around 21:00.
